The Australian Academy of Science’s Shine Dome has been a Canberra landmark since its construction in 1959 and is the first building in Canberra to be included on the National Heritage List. Located centrally in Canberra, the Shine Dome is just a short walk to hotels, national attractions and city shops.
The main auditorium, the Ian Wark Theatre, is suitable for meetings or lectures and is equipped with the latest audiovisual equipment.
The ground level seats 150 in armchair comfort, the upper level has additional seating for 84 to extend the total capacity of the theatre to 234.
