Black Mountain School is a secondary special school providing innovative and engaging learning programs for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Students with complex needs are catered for throughout the school with specialised programs in communication, sensory development, functional literacy and numeracy, personal and social development. Students attending Black Mountain come from all areas of the ACT.
Currently Black Mountain School caters for 95 students. A dynamic team of over 50 staff work together to implement individualised learning plans and programs for students.
