St Joseph’s Parish School in Gladstone is committed to helping all children from Reception to Year Seven achieve their personal best by delivering high quality, faith-centred educational programs using up to date resources such as interactive whiteboards.
St Joseph’s Parish School was established at Gladstone, in South Australia's Mid North, in 1891 by the Sisters of St Joseph. The school is currently under the direction of a lay principal and staff who, in the tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph, promote the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our school promotes educational excellence by developing the whole child in a caring, safe and welcoming environment. We encourage the growth of responsible behaviour choices and develop a sense of belonging in our community based upon the values of trust and mutual respect.
Small class sizes allow our committed and caring staff encourage students to reach personal excellence and closely monitor the progress of each child throughout their primary schooling years. Further support is provided, as needed in all learning areas, for example the Reading Recovery Program, or by provisions for special needs.
