The Laura Primary School has a strong focus on numeracy, science and literacy and teaches Italian as a second language. Many students take part in the University of NSW academic competitions each year. Rooms and grounds are spacious and well-equipped. Parent support is strong and students have a voice through class meetings and the Student Representative Council.
The Laura Primary School is an integral part of the community and participates in the ‘Laura Folk Fair’ which attracts up to 10,000 visitors annually. Students are very active, participating in a wide range of SAPSASA sporting activities as well as local sport. Students participate in the ‘East of the Ranges Choir’ and the instrumental music program.
