Situated within the Faculty of Science, the
School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences teaches and researches in the disciplines of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Parasitology. The common thread in our discipline mix is the capacity of molecular-based approaches to create understanding and to lead to discovery.
SCMB continues a tradition of excellence in teaching, research and engagement. Our research is recognized internationally through our high profile academics, our successes in attracting research fellowships, grants, prizes and awards and our high quality research outcomes including publications and patents.
