Welcome to the Centre for Tropical Tourism Studies at James Cook University.
The role of the Centre for Tropical Tourism Studies is to undertake tourism research with a specific emphasis on tourism in tropical regions. The Centre provides access to a unique tropical location that includes the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforests.
The Centre for Tropical Tourism Studies maintains a focused portfolio of activities including:
- Cutting edge tourism research;
- Postgraduate education and provision of academic and networking benefits for all students of tourism;
- Consultancy and other entrepreneurial initiatives; and
- Facilitation and distribution of tourism information through this site, conferences, symposia, seminars and workshops.
