Downlands College is Queensland's only Independent, Catholic Co-educational Boarding School with a capacity of 290 male and female boarding school students. Traditionally the bulk of these students come from the isolated rural communities of Western Queensland and Northern New South Wales, with many others from South East Queensland, the Northern Territory and Overseas.
Our educational facilities boast a well-equipped library, outstanding science centre, visual arts rooms and a soon to be completed sports science centre and gymnasium. Downlands is committed to information technology with five computer laboratories and over two hundred computers about the College. We have a state-of-the-art performing arts centre capable of seating the whole school community for assemblies and concerts. This facility has a large stage, orchestra pit, purpose built drama classrooms and music practice facilities.
