Townsville PCYC was established in 1969 and services the community of the Townsville and Thuringowa area. The branch is situated in the centre of the twin cities and provides approximately 32 sporting and recreational activities. The centre has just recently undertaken a $4.5 million dollar redevelopment, through the support of the Queensland Government and Townsville City Council, creating a ‘family centre of excellence in fitness and health'. The redevelopment includes a community gym, new activity space, conference facilities, and childcare centre.
