Halls Head Community College Education Support Centre was established in 2001. We have a population of 40 – 50 students, who are drawn from the Mandurah area and as far north as Golden Bay, south to Waroona and east to Pinjarra. The Education Support Centre (HHCC ESC) enrols students needing intensive support to achieve their educational and or behavioural goals. To be entitled to enrol in our school, students must have an intellectual disability or present with an autistic spectrum disorder or mental health diagnosis and a need for the educational services that we provide.
We cater for students from year eight to thirteen.
Our middle school caters for students’ years 8 -10. Our senior school program caters for students in years 11 -13, offering personalised learning pathways in conjunction and collaboration with the Career Enterprise Centre, TAFE, Curriculum Council and local WPL opportunities.
HHCC ESC is located on the grounds of the Halls Head Community College and has shared use of the wonderful facilities. We also have our own Life Skills Centre which includes inclusive kitchen and laundry facilities. The Life Skills centre also has a shade house, vegetable and herb gardens, composting, a worm farm and an outside powered shed/workshop.
